When we started out in this business 4 years ago there were perhaps one or two dozen NLP training companies in the UK. Today there are literally hundreds. How do you possibly choose from this extraordinary diversity? First we will share with you what we offer and compare this with what you can find elsewhere. Then we will demystify NLP training for you, giving you a path to becoming a Master Practitioner of the methodology - and who knows, perhaps even a trainer of NLP. We'll then priovide you with a clear path to choosing one of our courses if we are your prefered NLP training company.

What we offer

We are a small training company offering personalised training in groups of a maximum of 12 people. We are renowned for generating high levels of group rapport in our courses, even among individuals from vastly different backgrounds. You have constant, direct access to the trainer who will ensure that your personal outcomes are met throughout your training. Our credentials are impeccable and the quality of the training as good and better than you will find anywhere.

We are accredited through the International NLP Trainers Association (INLPTA), the foremost network of trainers on Earth. We do not prescribe to accelerated (7 day) NLP training. In most of these courses you are required to listen to up to 80 hours of CDs before the course. We are old school because we remain convinced that learnuing NLP in a way that will last takes time. Our full Practitioner training takes 16 days and even this could be a lot longer if we (and you) could afford the time. Having trained with us, you too will become accredited through INLPTA and can pass this quality assurance onto your own clients.

Our training style is low tech offering clear, fascinating insights into NLP concepts combined with loads of practical exercises to embed the skills and give you the confidence to use them well after the training has ended. We offer genuine ongoing support and maintain close professional links with many of our students. You have access to all the support you need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We have a fascinating background and weave this information throughout our training through our unique story telling and take this to a whole new level through our own unique brand of NLP in Stone Age NLP. We don't have high overheads and we're not out to rip you off in pursuit of millions so our courses are priced just right and affordable to the individual.

What others offer

There are a range of large NLP training companies, mostly in London, that offer a different type of NLP training altogether. Often their courses include large numbers of delegates with "marshals" assisting you through the exercises. Often these courses are high tech with powerpoint, rock and roll music, lots of noise and high energy dynamics. Mostly the trainer is positioned as a guru, distant from the individuals, sometimes not even present through much of the training. Many offer "accelerated training" over 7 days (the price doesn't come down though!).

However, there are also old school large NLP training companies on offer. If you choose the right company, you can get access to some of the greatest minds in NLP through some of these big organisations. You will pay for the privelege but will have the assurance that you trained under some of the original developers. This is where you need to make your choice. Our suggestion to our students is to acquire your basic NLP training at an affordable price and excellent quality through Openmind Training. Should you want to take your learnings further you then have an amazing choice of specialist courses to choose from. We will make specific recommendations to you on which of these courses you should attend based on your individual needs.

NLP training demystified

There are essentially three levels to NLP training:

NLP Practitioner

NLP Master Practitioner

NLP Trainer

We offer qualification to the level of Master Practitioner. Under INLPTA rules, NLP Trainers Training is conducted by the founder, Wyatt Woodsmall, hosted by a local training company in the relevant country. At the start of your journey into NLP you will find that most NLP training companies only offer the full NLP Practitioner training. This can be quite an outlay financially, especially if you are new to NLP and are not sure if you want to make such a significant commitment. For this reason we were one of the pioneers in offering a shorter introductory course in NLP. Our NLP Diploma course is 4 days in duration and serves as the foundation to the full NLP Practitioner training. For many of our students (around 40%) this is all they want from NLP and we have designed the course as a complete well rounded introduction with this in mind.

Your path to NLP training through Openmind Training will then include:

NLP Diploma (4 days)

NLP Practitioner (12 days plus the Diploma course as a pre-requisite)

NLP Master Practitioner (16 days)

We then offer you something quite unique through Stone Age NLP where you can undertake both Practitioner and Master Practitioner in the Kalahari Desert in Africa among the Earth's oldest surviving culture, the San Bushmen. Not only is the environment extraordinary for learning NLP but you will get the opportunity to meet these remarkable people and test the NLP hypothesis against a culture vastly different to ours. We even go further in the Master Practitioner course in modelling the life skills of these people to extract elegant and effective lessons for living in a modern world. Both courses offer an optional "bolt on" extra of a wildlife safari in one of Africa's greatest game reserves under the expert guidance of verteran African travellers.
